Brian A. Royster

Brian is the managing partner in the firm. He regularly handles matters involving Real Estate, Estate Planning and Guardianships on behalf of individuals and businesses in Surry and Stokes Counties. Brian is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, an organization dedicated to protecting people's rights, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Surry County Bar Association.

Brian graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005. Following his graduation, he worked for Child Care Services Association, a non-profit organization in Chapel Hill. While there, he was an advocate and counselor for child care providers, helping them to increase their education and their income. After his time with CCSA, he attended North Carolina Central School of Law, graduating in 2010. While at NCCU, Brian was a member of the Public Interest Law Organization and served as a Guardian ad Litem volunteer in Durham.

Brian was recognized by the North Carolina Bar Association in 2014 for his service to the community and professionalism. He received the young lawyer Centennial Award at the annual meeting of District 17B for his work with the Lawyer on the Line program, a pro bono legal service co-sponsored by Legal Aid of North Carolina and his other volunteer work in the community.

Personal Information

In his spare time Brian enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, going to concerts and fishing. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Surry Arts Council and the Board of Directors for the Surry Friends of Youth.
